Roadside Emergency Auto Maintenance Fundamentals

This class is designed to help you be more confident and comfortable with handling roadside emergency auto problems.  The class provides students with knowledge and experience of basic maintenance and roadside emergency procedures accomplishable with no tools other than a jack, tire iron and jumper cables typically provided with a car.  Topics covered include roadside safety; changing flat tires; checking and adding oil, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid and coolant; and jumping a dead battery.  Students will observe demonstrations of these procedures and then have the opportunity to practice with supervision on their own vehicles.  All students must hold a valid driver’s license or permit and must supply a current registered and inspected vehicle, as well as the insurance of which they are covered under.  Age 15 with a learner's permit.
