Retirement … it is not just about money, it is also about TIME. When I retire I will …. We all say these words especially when we are about ten years from actually retiring. Well, now that time has arrived! Hopefully savings and/or pensions will enable you to do all the things you want to do in these golden years. But, what do you actually want to do? Play golf? Ok, every day? What happens during the other waking hours in the day, every day? Fish, travel, read, volunteer? Whatever we want to do we need to remember that each of those things will only take up a fraction of the time we have. In fact, we may have already been playing golf, fishing, traveling and volunteering while we were still working. Now we have that forty hours or so to fill! And how do we interact with our spouse if they are not yet retired or it they are? Thirty, forty or more years heading to work five days a week or more and now we can do what we want. Sounds great but how do we adjust to this new found freedom and what are some pitfalls we may encounter along the way?
