Everyone loves camping! Learning about nature, forest animals, insects, the night sky, rivers and fishing will keep your child interested and excited. We will use these ideas to develop knowledge, skills and a love of learning. Students will create crafts and experiments; they will participate in daily activities that will expand their imagination. As a culminating activity, campers will visit Girard Park where they will spread their bedroll under oak trees for a “camp out” nap after enjoying a camping treat.
Children will need to bring a bag lunch and drink every day they attend camp. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. An Introductory Parent Meeting will be held at 8 am the Friday before each camp session begins (Friday, June 8th; Friday, July 13th). If any parent has a conflict with attending the introductory meeting, please let us know at registration so that alternate arrangements can be made.
