Painting the Bob Ross® Way

ID : 10471
« back to classes page
The Bob Ross® painting technique is a wet-on-wet painting method in which the painter continues adding
paint on top of still-wet paint rather than waiting for each layer to dry.

This famous performance uses large brushes and painting knives which allow the artist to paint trees, clouds, mountains and water in a matter of moments.

Each painting starts with simple strokes that appear to be nothing more than smudges of color, but, the end result is stunning!

Robert Norman Ross (October 29, 1942 - July 4, 1995) had a popular television show, The Joy of Painting®, which aired from 1983 – 1994 on PBS.  His personality and painting techniques live on today.

No skills are needed because Bob Ross® stresses that anyone can do this!

All supplies will be provided by the Instructor for the use of this class. Using Bob Ross® products, he will guide the students to create a painting that will be admired and cherished in a few short hours
.
